| Ukrainian coins are very popular in Europe. What can we say - those are very nice and very limited editions of coins with great designs. Every collector will find something for themselves among these coins: there are series depicting animals, sports, plants, figures, there is also architecture, airplanes and others. The Bank of Ukraine issues collector coins in denominations of 2, 5 hryvnia made of copper-nickel, the 5, 10 and 20 hryvnia coins made of silver and also gold coins. However, in this article I want to focus on 20 hryvnia silver coins. It is rare that a country regularly issues 2-ounce silver collector coins, which weigh 62.2 grams. The most popular among collectors are coins, weighing one ounce, or 31.1 grams. On average 1 to 2 coins of this type are issued. Since 2001, when the Bank of Ukraine issued the first 2-ounce coin, we acquired more than 25 of them.
